Meet Our Founder

Didine M. Erskine, CFP®

Founder and LPL Financial Planner

As the founder and LPL financial planner at The Erskine Group, Didine wears many hats — strategist, advisor, educator, and occasional paperwork wrangler. Her mission in launching the firm was to pair her deep industry experience with the freedom and agility of a boutique practice rooted in purpose and clarity.

Didine began her financial services career in 2009, with prior roles at both Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan. Over the years, she’s helped families and business owners navigate complex decisions across investments, retirement, insurance, and estate planning. She brings a unique blend of behavioral insight and technical expertise to each client relationship, with a focus on helping individuals align their financial lives with what matters most.

In addition to leading The Erskine Group, Didine serves as a visiting lecturer at Texas A&M University, where she teaches and mentors the next generation of financial planners. She also contributes thought leadership to the profession through client education and industry writing, including published work in Wealth Think, and continues to expand her voice through upcoming submissions to national outlets such as Kiplinger.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and completed undergraduate coursework at Texas A&M University, where she was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets and remains deeply connected to the Aggie community. Didine earned her master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and plans to begin pursuing a PhD in 2026, with research interests at the intersection of behavioral finance, investment communication, and applied planning.

She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, holds a life and health insurance license in Texas, and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams. As the firm continues to grow, she is exploring future internship opportunities to help cultivate the next wave of financial planning talent.

At the heart of Didine’s approach is a belief that true financial planning goes beyond traditional 60/40 models. She is passionate about helping clients navigate today’s evolving investment landscape with strategies that balance protection and growth potential — not outdated templates. Her work often incorporates structured solutions, risk-aligned tools, and thoughtful tax investment planning to pursue outcomes that serve clients better. It’s never about selling products — it’s about building smarter portfolios rooted in purpose, clarity, and client advocacy.

Outside of work, Didine is most often found chasing after her two sons — Zachary (6) and Thomas (2) — or enjoying a quiet laugh with her husband of 11 years, Zach. Their household also includes a spirited 17-year-old cat named Fat Kitty and a loyal Labrador-mix named Rex. The Erskine family lives, works and plays in the Bryan/College Station community.

Didine M. Erskine, CFP®, is an approved advisor for the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) available to Texas A&M University System employees through Pentegra.
